Helpful review: As someone who very rarely writes reviews for products, this is my statement that I’m only doing this because of how much I loved this product. The Dolphin Premier was so impressive, and completely altered my feelings towards my pool. For that reason, I’ve come here to tell the world about my love for this product.
When I bought my home, the brand new pool sitting in the back didn’t scare me–at first. And then I realized how difficult it was going to be to clean. It was not designed super great, and the built-cleaner was way too small for the size of the pool. No matter what I did, debris always reappeared in the pool.
Even after hiring a pool man to take care of the maintenance, I found it still didn’t help. I even got a new filter, installed a more upgraded pump, and seriously nothing worked. I spent thousands upon thousands of dollars on this pool, and I was so frustrated, at one point I even considered selling the property just because of how much this pool annoyed me, believe it or not.
And then a neighbor recommended I try out the Dolphin Premier cleaner, and when I say this robot changed my life, I’m not joking. I run the cleaner four times a week, on top of running the Zodiac that’s built-in to the pool, and let me tell you–this thing has made a serious difference to my life. For one, the leaf bag scoops up everything, to the point that I didn’t realize how much debris actually ends up in my pool.
The dolphin has a couple different types of models, but I highly recommend that you go with the Premier model, because this is the only one with the leaf bag option, and trust me when I say that that is really the game changer here. Setup and assembly were super simple, and you don’t need to be skilled to get this thing going. Just pull it out of the box, and plug it in. Although the leaf bag takes a few attempts to get attached, once you get it on, you’ll find it’s a no-brainer to get moving.
Just a forewarning, when the Dolphin gets full of water, it is quite heavy to move around. Once you drain it, it becomes a heck of a lot easier. I usually lift it out, let it drain out, and then store it afterwards. There is a one hundred dollar remote you can purchase for extra, but honestly I don’t think it’s necessary. However, I would definitely recommend getting a spare leaf bag so you’ll have a clean one on hand. Finally, I can actually enjoy my pool instead of worrying how to keep it clean.
